About the Chico Classic Pickleball Tournament

The Chico Classic Pickleball Tournament isn’t just about the game—it’s about making a lasting impact in our community. Since our inception, we’ve brought players, sponsors, and volunteers together to raise funds for vital causes like True North Housing Alliance, which provides shelter, meals, and hope to those in need.

Founded in 2017, the Chico Classic Pickleball Tournament began as a small gathering of passionate pickleball players. Over the years, it has grown into one of the most anticipated events in the Chico community, attracting hundreds of players and raising thousands of dollars for local nonprofits.

In 2023, the Chico Classic raised over $20,000 for True North Housing Alliance, supporting True North’s efforts to serve over 830 people experiencing homelessness and house over 200 people in 2023 alone! Each year, our players, volunteers, and sponsors make a tangible difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

With 16 permanent courts, over 500 active pickleball players, and a welcoming community atmosphere, the Chico Classic is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of connection, sport, and giving back.
